Monster Tree Service works year round to provide our customers and their trees with the appropriate service during the proper season. Every tree has different needs, and every tree has a different SCIENTIFIC CLASSIFICATION. Let’s examine what this might mean.

Plant classification, or taxonomy, is based on biological characteristics. The highest classification level is the Kingdom.Trees are in the PLANT KINGDOM. Under Kingdom there are several more scientific sub-classifications.

Genus + specific epithet = SPECIES

The fun tip of the day to help remember the taxonomic hierarchy from kingdom down to species, is to use the mnemonic trick: Kings Play Chess On Fat, Gray Stumps. I also think it is cool to know that trees are in a KINGDOM. That was kinda fun. Hope you had fun too! I feel so smart.
