They arrived on time, assessed the situation, and gave me a fair quote. They used the latest equipment and techniques to safely cut down the tree and grind the stump. We were referred to Noreen at Monster Tree for information about possibly saving our huge Ash tree from the Emerald Ash Borer. She came out at the appointment time and looked at it in early spring, but said it would be better to look at it when it leafs out. She came out at the second appointment on time, advised us, and looked at other tree work that we were considering. She answered many questions for us and we appreciated her experience and knowledge. When the quote turned out to be reasonable, we contracted with them for the work. We were apprehensive about it being done at the time we needed it, due to our schedule, but they nailed it! Kyle, Liz, Trevor and Nick came out on time on the appointed day. They were very professional, took care of everything, including laying down plywood on the grass so it didn't get damaged and cleaning up completely when they were done. Jim came the next day to grind the stumps that we needed, arrived on time and was informative and professional. Also, Jennifer in the office was efficient when I called. We would definitely recommend them. They are knowledgeable, do a good job, were reasonably priced, but just as important, were dependable. We have already contracted with them for more work next year.

A Locust tree in our yard had lost a large branch in December. I trimmed back what I could to clear the lawn but still had "hangers" too high for my taste! I called a company that I used several years before to remove a tree and the arborist said he no longer worked for them and he was with a new company and would come over for an estimate. Several weeks passed by and no one showed and it was suggested (by the company owner) I get a different company because they were too busy for the "small job" on my property. A friend had work done by Monster on their house and said they were good so I called them. Jason came out and discussed what needed to be done to remove the limb and also prune the tree to minimize future damage. They trimmed the tree in February working after a recent snowfall by clearing the yard around the tree with a snow blower so they could get equipment in and clean up! All went well. He also noticed the Maple tree in the yard had Gypsy moth cocoons. After he showed them to me I knew they were a problem he gave me an estimate to inject the tree in early spring. The price was reasonable. They came in May and did the injection and have had no issues with the moths. So fast forward to late June when this neighborhood had a microburst and straight-line winds which damaged many trees in its path. The locust lost a few branches but due to the pruning done prior the house was not affected. But several branches cracked and were hanging and there were stubs from the ones that fully dropped. Jason came right out and the work was done within the week! It was the same crew! I have been on a first name basis with a bartender and barber, but never before with an arborist and a tree crew! Glad they were recommended!

The big job was the huge maple at the corner of the yard. They got up into the tree, and higher and higher they trimmed and cut small and larger branches. The result is a safer, beautifully shaped tree. They did a thorough clean up at the end. Wonderful work.

They came back to grind the stumps and returned to pick up the large logs that couldn't go through the chipper. They routinely stayed on top of the cleanup, which was no easy task. From start to finish, I was so impressed with the work ethic, competency, and professionalism of this whole operation.
